Information
- Description
- In the South of France, not far from Saint Guilhem 's Abbey,
the culture of vines is deeply rooted in tradition.
In the heart of the terroirs of Aniane and Puéchabon, our 12
hectares of vines are nested on chalky-clayey hillsides.
Land is perfumed with guarrigue fragrance (thyme, rosemary,
savory..) and profits from an exceptional climate.
Inspired by the familial passion, we took up in our
grandfather's cellar again in 2000 before producing our first
cuvées two years later with the appellation "Coteaux du
Languedoc".
We chose to work with ancient selected grape varieties, typical
of our local history and well-adapted to these terroirs.( 50 years
old Carignans, Grenaches, Syrahs, about 20-30 years old
Cinsaults.)
These selected vines (with low yields) need specific care to
give birth to a high quality product.
We profit from our traditional knowledge to give expression to
other varieties (Cabernet franc, Petit verdot, Mourvèdre,
Roussane, Grenache Blanc) in order to grow our terroir and
make very personal wines.
From the pruning to the vinification we are trying to extract the
best of our vines. Specific care is given to each vine to get the
ripest and cleanest grapes.
Each vine is vinified separately. The vinification process is
chosen according to the quality of the grapes, their varieties
and our tastes. Whatever the aging is (tanks or oak barrels) the
wine is aged on its lees.
We are aiming to extract the best of our grapes and offer fine
and concentrated wines with a rich aromatic structure ending
with notes of guarrigue.
These wines may appeal to you thanks to their silky richness,
their both frank and subtle way to bring you back to the
essential - our nourishing earth.
Our wines is made of organic grapes in order to preserve the
environment as well as our health.
