Information
- Description
- Our family has been making highly expressive wines in Hunawihr since 1963. For over 20 years now, our vineyards have been farmed organically and biodynamically. Our work is based on the search for authenticity and the preservation of the terroir, with a constant concern for quality and innovation. We work as much as possible by hand to preserve the vines and the soil.
Today, Pierre works 11 hectares of vines spread over the best terroirs in Hunawihr (Grand Cru Rosacker, Lieu-Dit Muehlforst and Clos La Courtille) and Ribeauvillé (Grand Cru Osterberg).
Our terroirs are based on heavy, deep Muschelkalk soils, which produce dry, pure, gastronomic wines.
Every year, we rethink our winemaking methods. Today, we mature our wines in century-old tuns, stainless steel, barrels and amphorae. So that they reveal themselves through their terroirs.
In the vineyard, our sheep help us to reduce the number of tractor journeys and bring life and enrichment to the soil. We are also gradually adding fruit trees and hedges to our vineyards. Planting them regulates temperatures and encourages biodiversity.
This makes us open-minded winegrowers with rural roots.
