Information
- Description
- Created in 1999, the domaine Saint-Germain is located in the nature reserve of the Bauges mountains, on south-looking slopes, in the village of Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny. [...] Classics from Savoie neighbour with a new, bold vision of the Alps wines inheritance, both through time (ancient grape varieties are being cultivated) and through space (Par-delà les Versants wine batches include varietals from the Valais in Switzerland, such as petite arvine and gamaret). This estate is one of those in which the rediscovered future of the Savoie vineyard is being written.
The range shows more and more cohesion in terms of quality, while each wine batch develops a very unique character. Domaine Saint-Germain is becoming a must-know for anyone willing to discover the uniqueness and drive of Savoie wines."
30 grape varieties for 16 cuvées!! We grow some rare grape varieties, such as persan which represents 0.0025% of the French winegrowing area. This means that we actually grow 10,5% of all persan grapes in France.
