The Menéres family has been producing wines since 1874 at Quinta do Romeu, from 25 hectares of organically farmed vineyards that are found far northeast in the Douro region, 320m above sea level with multiple sun exposures.
Vineyards, olive groves, cork trees and two streams coexist at Romeu, interlaced naturally and forming a living patchwork.
There is a great dedication to grape quality and there is minimum interference in the cellar so that the wines reflect a natural character. Organic viticulture has been practiced since 1997 in order to bring out the best tastes and aromas and maintain harmony between people, agriculture, environment and economy.
Ethically and socially committed. Conscious of feet on the ground and divinity in the sky. Fed by both.
