- Herdade dos Lagos is located next to Vale de Açor de Cima, in the north of the municipality of Mértola, in Alentejo, Portugal.
Property of 1000 hectares, of which 30 hectares are vineyards, 80 hectares of olive groves, 120 hectares of carob and the rest of the estate serves as pasture for 800 sheep, with 5 dams included in this estate, in an ecosystem with great biodiversity and resilience to change climate. Various products are produced under the HDL brand, including wines, olive oil, honey and jams.
The estate is in organic production adapted to the territory, in the entire area and in addition to sustainable production in wine growing.
The HDL wine brand is recognized for being a brand whose basic principles are the production of organic wines, sustainability, and the use of natural resources available in Alentejo for its production, promotion and regional development, in addition to the excellent quality of the wines.
