Information
- Description
- At the heart of the Pays d’Aix, Château de Calavon is without doubt the oldest wine estate in Lambesc, with wine produced on these lands since antiquity.
The Château sits surrounded by over 100ha of pine forests and wild scrubland which has been preserved for 300 years. Century old olive trees sit within its limits.
Château de Calavon is notable for the diversity of its 15 grape varieties which provide, with our mosaic of terroirs, a broad palette of profiles from which to create our wines. All of our range has been produced organically since 2013.
Our Roquerousse range provides an expression of Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence that is youthful, vibrant and convivial but not lacking in complexity.
Our Château range includes old vines and delicate oak ageing to create wines that are noticeably complex and age worthy.
Our historic La Réserve cuvée combines our best red parcels and is produced in only the finest vintages. Long oak ageing means this wine has great depth and can age for at least a decade.
