Description: Weingut Leth is a family business in the Wagram region, located in the small village of Fels am Wagram. 52 hectares of vineyards are farmed certified sustainable as well as certified organically. The deep loess terraces of the Wagram hillside are excellently suited for Grüner Veltliner, half of the area under vine is planted with this variety. Great attention is also paid to the indigenous regional rarity, the Roter Veltliner. Low yielding plants, hand picking and a strong dedication to terroir reflection will allow to produce wines of distinct character, standing out for their combination of drinkability as well as complexity. Being a member of the growers association “Österreichische Traditionsweingüter”, the top single vineyard wines are labeled as “Erste Lage ÖTW” and finding their way to the customers throughout Europe, America and the Far East.

The contribution to achieve highest standard in ethical responsibility is expressed in the vegan certification with the current vintage 2024. Animal based products are no longer used throughout the winegrowing and winemaking process. One of the biggest favour to sustainability has been done during the past few years with nowadays just using lightweight bottles for the whole range of wines at the winery. Furthermore, producing own compost for fertilization of vineyards and producing a main part of electricity by renewable solar energy showing the commitment to prevent environmental impact.
