Hall B3 - n°1205
Information
- Description
- Located in Villeveyrac (34) in the Languedoc region, on the slopes of the Etang de Thau, Les 3 Mazets is a natural winegrowing estate using living soil. It has been certified organic since its creation in 2016.
In 2023, the estate was awarded the Arbre et Civilisation mark (a mark of good agroecological practice).
I practise agroecology here, the aim being to produce healthy, natural grapes, and at the same time to put in place ways of respecting the logical cycle of biology, revitalising the soil, generating biodiversity, protecting water resources, sequestering carbon and air-conditioning the plots.
Today, thanks to this approach, scientific experimentation and the know-how of fine-tuned vineyard management, the soil-plant pairing is maintained in good health, and the vines are free of treatments (no copper, no sulphur).
This natural viticulture approach is used on the 6 ha estate to produce a range of red wines.
The grape varieties are Syrah, Grenache, Merlot, Carignan and Cinsault.
An oenologist would describe my red wines as velvety-smooth, very fruity, well-balanced and complex.
But for me, when I vinified these wines it was above all to share a good time with friends or family, and enjoy the moment.
