Information
- Description
- The Mantlerhof winery is located in the Kremstal. The region is characterized by mighty loess formations, in whose best terraces the 16 hectares of vineyards are located. The estate was already mentioned in the 12th century as a reading farm of Admont Abbey. It was probably also the seat of the Kuenringer family - an important knightly family from the Wachau region. The Mantler family has been running the winery since around 1800, but the family's history dates back to 1365. The focus is on the varieties Roter Veltliner, Neuburger, Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. The winery plays a pioneering role with Roter Veltliner in particular. No other family has remained loyal to the Roter Veltliner for so long and vinified it as a single variety of the highest quality. The oldest examples in the vinotheque date back to the 1940s and 1950s. Since 2003, production has been based exclusively on organic criteria!
