Hall B1 - n°170
Information
- Description
- In the heart of the Garrigue, between the Mediterranean and the Cévennes, 20 km north of Montpellier, in the commune of Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles, the Mas de Mortiès has remained in its raw, wild and mysterious state.
The vineyard is made up of 14 hectares of vines including the Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault grape varieties for the red and rosé wines (AOP Pic Saint-Loup) and Roussanne, Rolle, Viognier for the white wines (AOP Languedoc).
Due to its geographical location and recent history, the success of the estate has been built in synergy with the AOP Pic Saint-Loup. The new plantations take this reality into account.
However, this does not exclude the production of original vintages presented explicitly outside the framework of AOPs, as well as the planting of ancestral southern grape varieties, better adapted to climate change.
