Information

Description: Roc des Anges was born in 2001 in the heart of one of the most beautiful sites in Roussillon, in the heart of a wild nature.

Most of the vineyard is located in the Pyrenean foothills; This unique situation, close to moutains and under Mediterranean influence, signals wines of singular expression, luminous and energetic wines. The main soils are made up of old decomposed shale with a very marked sandy tendency. These poor and superficial soils produce wines with pure and subtle profiles.

In pure Mediterranean tradition, the vines are planted with a great diversity of grape varieties. White, gray, black Grenache, Macabeu, petit grain muscat, white, gray, black Carignan, Malvoisie du Roussillon, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The old vines still very present go along with with young vines in massal selections. Each plot is unique, by its soil, its exposure, its age, its environment, its topography, its grape variety, its genetics… The vineyard is cultivated biodynamically (member of Biodyvin) and the minimalist cellar work aims to produce wines that simply express the soil and the beauty of the place...
