- Clos Troteligotte is made up of 16 hectares perched on the high altitude terroirs of the Causse of the Cahors appellation, managed in organic and biodynamic agriculture around the region's emblematic grape variety, Malbec. In this unique place, where the energies of the valley and the Causse, the astral and the terrestrial mix, the complexity of the elements nourishes the vines of Clos Troteligotte which benefit from the benevolence of the hand of the man who cultivates it .
The first vines of the estate were planted in 1987, Emmanuel moved in following his father in 2004. A micro-plot selection was carried out within the Clos, with the identification of two main types of clay-limestone terroirs : one Kimmeridgian, the other siderolithic. In the cellar, vinification is done naturally, without sulphite, and partly in amphorae. In the vineyard, biodiversity is preserved thanks to the diversification of grape varieties (around thirty varieties, notably native and resistant ones), mass selection, beehives and agroforestry. 4,000 trees and shrubs have been planted since 2021, particularly in pergolas.
