Information
- Description
- Our family wine-growing estate is located in the Noble Valley at the feet of the famous Grand Cru Zinnkoepfle , 15 kilometres to the South of Colmar in Alsace. Native of Bergholtz, the compagny is installed in Westhalten since 2000. Our parcels are situated in a beautiful landscape protected by the Vosges Mountains.
We lead our vineyard in respect of the environment and of the ground. The wines are mostly ploughed and vegetated with natural adventices. Through our work we are trying to create a natural balance and so to avail the best conditions for a good development of the plant. The addition of our self made composte aims at favouring the microbial ground life. The wines protec- tion is conducted in the same respect of natural envi- ronment.
Grape gathering is exclusively made by hand. The grapes are sorted with care and elaborateness and are entirely brought to the wine press within tubs. So we can limit the Juice extraction before pressing.
The slow and soft pressing lasts approxima- tely five hours. After an eight to ten months breed on fine lees the wines are bottled and can be conserved for several years.
We wish you as much pleasure by tasting our wines as we had by the elaboration. We would be glad to greet you on your next journey throug our region in order to make you discover the diversity and the richness of Alsace Wines and so to share our passion.
