Hall B3 - n°1088
Information
- Description
- Established by the Benedictine monks of Cluny in 1100, Château des Bachelards is located in the northern region of
Beaujolais. The property spans 12 hectares; seven hectares situated in Fleurie, a unique holding around the château and
adjoining plots in Moulin-à-Vent and Saint-Amour. Clos des Bachelards, enclosed by walls built by the monks, is
considered the estate's crown jewel due to its exceptional terroir, which provides distinctive character to the wine it
produces.
From 2014 to 2022, Alexandra de Vazeilles skillfully managed the Château des Bachelards vineyard, showcasing the
remarkable nature of the Beaujolais's terroirs. Matthieu Gufflet, a wine and gastronomy enthusiast, has taken over and is
working with the young team to continue the meticulous work begun by Alexandra.
