- Riesling Kalkstein is the elegant dry estate wine Riesling in the Gustavshof range. Its character traits are classic Riesling and beautifully reflect the limestone content of our soils. It grows on very chalky loam soils as well as limestone marl soils around Kloppberg Mountain. The vineyards are cultivated biologically dynamically, which makes it a lively wine. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and gently processed into wine. Natural, spontaneous fermentation is standard at Gustavshof. The young wine is stored on the fine yeast until bottling, which preserves its filigree and youthful character. This wine captivates with its beautiful, clear fruit, reminiscent of fresh apples and a hint of peach. Its taste is mature, present and harmonious. Despite its volume, the mouthfeel is filigree and youthful. The minerality is clearly perceptible.
