Tasting notes
D-R is the plateau located above El Lloar village, sharply cut by the mountain range. The vineyards are hidden behind this imposing façade, with a rocky appearance. With red clay soils, the Paratge of Damunt Roca is the last one belonging to the Vila before contacting the neighboring La Figuera. The vineyard is made up of Grenache planes of various clones. 50% is harvested with whole clusters and stems, fermenting in concrete with slow macerations and little extraction. The pressing is short, the structure dense and at the same time silky. Aging for one year in foudres and large puncheons. Finally meeting in concrete before bottling, without clarifying or filtering. Wine with an aroma of wild herbs, intertwined by notes of crunchy fruits. Velvety and also persistent. A lively surprise that connects with the new Priorat.
