Information
- Description
- Château de Nages is located at the northern edge of the Costières de Nîmes appellation. For five generations now, this vineyard is the family homestead. At the heart of a protected ecological zone, the combination of its northern exposure, facing the prevailing Mistral winds, and its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea is unique. The late ripening grapes retain their freshness and their aromatic intensity. This magnificent vineyard is organically farmed and certified regenerative agriculture (a first in France, along with its sister estate, Domaine Gassier). Michel Gassier, produces the wines of this family estate, along with his daughter, Isabel, the 5th generation winemaker.
Domaine Gassier is born of the passion shared by Michel and Tina Gassier for wines focused on freshness, vibrancy and mineral balance. Their corner of paradise is a terrace overlooking the Camargue, with a limestone subsoil and a cooler microclimate due to its proximity to the Rhône marshes and the Mediterranean Sea. Farmed organically, certified regenerative agriculture, and with a minimalist approach in the winery, their wines are always an intimate, original expression of their appellation or varietal.
