Information
- Description
- In 2012, all 4 of us (parents & children) made the bet to change our lives to become winegrowers. It was in Cotignac, in a very cool area of Provence, that we found our “clos”. A rare plot of 15 hectares of old vines, in one piece and surrounded by forest. The old emblematic grape varieties of Provence have been preserved there (ugni-blanc, carignan, mourvèdre, clairette or cinsault) and the cultivation has already been organic since 2000. Entirely self-taught, we have learned to understand our terroir with humility. We have chosen to deepen a culture respectful of the environment: by developing viti-pastoralism from the start, by replanting trees in the middle of the enclosure (olive and fruit trees), by promoting the grassing of the vines (natural and sown) and by working with animal traction on our oldest plots. We then converted the estate to biodynamic farming in order to continue to enrich the biodiversity around us. The particular freshness of this clos marks our wines. The simple but meticulous and natural work, throughout the year, in the vineyard and in winemaking (exclusively manual harvest, fermentation with native yeasts, etc.) allows us to find the same mineral framework, fresh and yet very southern in our wines. We produce sincere wines, which resemble us, with a real identity: generous, southern and always fresh.
