Description: Our domaine is a wine estate located in the heart of the
Luberon regional park, in the territory of the famouse
village of Gordes.
The Vineyard covers 11 hectares and all tje crops are
organic.
The wines of the Marsaleix estate are all in the Ventoux
appellation, certified organic. The Luberon/Ventoux valley, first known for its historical villages and
its uniquely beautiful landscapes, also has the advantage of
possessing a particularly advantageous soil for wine growing.
Numerous studies have indeed revealed a soil with a very
homogeneous clay-limestone association with an exceptional
aeration, due essentially to the presence of sand.
It is also thanks to his reputation that Joel Marsaleix fell in love with the
region and decided to settle there At the Marsaleix estate, we consider that each element brings
its contribution and constitutes a harmonious whole. This
holistic method implies a subtle observation of the living, the
matter and the detail.
The lunar cycles, the seasons, the terroir, the weather and of
course a multitude of other factors are all concrete tools that
come into play in the winemaking process and that serve to
guide the evolution of the wine.
All these observations are based on empirical and scientific
knowledge. The goal is, in fine, to guide the vinification of a wine
by eliminating all unnecessary interventions
