Description

Château l'Escarderie is a family-run organic winery and vineyard in Fronsac AOP, Bordeaux wine region. We produce several cuvées of dry red wine, samples of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec grape varieties (and, in a couple of years, touriga nacional).
Our particularity (apart from the organic certification) is to harvest manually, to ferment with naturally present yeasts and to add as little sulfites as possible while guaranteeing a stable wine.
Ageing is done differently for each cuvee: oak barrique/amphora blend, 100% amphora (not available in big quantities) and classical concrete tank.
Our wines can be classified to premium as to the work and quality inherent to them.
