Description

Nova Solis means "new sun". Located in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac appellation area in the Hérault valley, we produce great wines faithful to the freshness of our terroir. Come and discover our estate, an appellation, our sun.
The estate is located in the town of Jonquières, in Hérault, 40km northwest of Montpellier on the foothills of the Larzac plateau. We work 6 hectares of vines aged 15 to 65 years, with the greatest respect for nature by promoting biodiversity. The pruned wood is crushed on site and brings organic matter to the soil, the inter-rows are grassed and we work under the row mechanically using an inter-vine. We have been AB certified since the 2020 vintage. We take care of each vine in order to promote the sustainability of the estate and ensure that nature does it well for us.
The estate is planted with black grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Cinsault, three of the main grape varieties to claim the Terrasses du Larzac appellation. The latest to arrive at the estate: a 45-year-old white Carignan cut into a goblet.
We have planted more than 300ml of hedges around the plots, made up of 23 different species... Laurel tin, Linden, Holm oak, Pistachio, Arbutus etc... These hedges will form a natural protection against wind, frost and will promote the richness of our biodiversity .
“90% of the work is done in the vineyard” that’s how we work. The care given to our plots allows us to obtain healthy, balanced grapes ready to make great wines.
