Information

Description
Our estate is located in Maimbray in the commune of Sury-en-Vaux, 5 km north of Sancerre. We are proud to represent the fourth generation of our family! We have been practicing organic viticulture in our 22 hectares of Sancerre vineyards since 2023.
Because fitting into the mould is not a priority for us, we adapt our work as we best see fit. Taking inspiration from organic, biodynamic and natural viticulture, we create our own alchemy, using only what we feel is best for the vines and the wines.

In the vineyards :
We place particular emphasis on working artisanally, with a 100% organic approach, using no chemical products.
Our vineyards are ploughed and crop cover is grown between the rows of vines. In some vineyards we sow green manure in the autumn which we incorporate into the soil in the spring. This approach provides us with natural fertilizer and promotes soil biodiversity.
We are extremely careful in the way we use soil improvers so that our soils can thrive. This is essential for making great wines that boasts remarkable balance.
We protect and preserve as many old vines as we can by treating grapevine trunk diseases by means of curettage.

At the winery :
We approach winemaking with the same philosophy - vinifications are conducted as naturally as possible in order to best respect the expression of our terroirs. We do not add enzymes or yeasts, while sulfur, which we formulate ourselves with volcanic sulfur, is used very sparingly.
We allow our wines to age at length so that they stabilize naturally, which means that they do not require filtering.
Our wines are bottled using inert gases on fruit days in accordance with the lunar calendar.

We are two brothers, Julien and Clément Raimbault, who are passionate about our work. We have been running our family’s estate for 15 years. But we are not alone! We count on the participation of our team of 5 people - including our father - year round.
